God really continues to amaze me as this whole endeavor continues to develop. I have been given some positive feedback about the new blog and new ministry...Gates Wide. Please provide us with feedback if you have any words of wisdom or comments (both positive and negative). Adam and I are extremely excited about the days, weeks, and months ahead. We definitely have a lot of work to do in our attempt to get ready for our upcoming events and the looming recording deadline (more on that in a later post).
The Week Ahead:
Gates Wide will be leading worship twice this week on Friday (3-6-09) and Saturday night (3-7-09).
On Friday, Gates Wide will be leading worship at Brantley Baptist Church in Brantley, AL. The service will start at 7:00 as we have a Night of Praise and Worship at Brantley Baptist Church. Popular worship songs along with original material will be presented and for those who know me, you know I will share a little testimony as well. This event is kind of special for me as my dad was the music director at Brantley Baptist Church for a few years. Also this will be our first service as Gates Wide. Fun stuff!
On Saturday, Gates Wide will be leading worship at Jesus Jam 2 in Brundidge, AL at Salem Baptist Church. We will be sharing testimony and a nugget message along with leading worship and performing a few original songs as well. Jesus Jam 2 starts at 6:00 on Saturday, 3-7-09. (Youth Event)

- I have finally started a ministry that God placed in my heart several years ago. I have been writing songs for about 15 years now maybe more. I have always wanted to share with others what God is putting in my heart but I never really had the platform to share these thoughts and ideas and visions. God caused my path to cross the path of another person with a similar vision. Adam Vinson is a great musician who has a heart for Jesus and a heart for leading worship and also writing songs that lift up the Savior's name. We want to serve the Lord with everything we have and share His message of hope, love, and forgiveness. What is our ministry? We have a desire to lead worship wherever God would lead us. We want to share what God has put in our hearts as we lead worship in various places. Whether in Youth or Adult services, we have a heart for leading worship in a modern relevant way and singing new songs to the Lord as many Psalms command. We are excited about this adventure God seems to be taking us down. We really love that He chooses to use us even though He really doesn't need to use us at all. Throwing the GATES WIDE
